Blue Room

Bathroom

We called this project the ‘Blue Room’ because of the colour of the original kitchen. It was fun to use blue tiles in the bathroom as a but of a nod to that! They are the most stunning shade, and really helped to give the space some real character.

Nothing from the old bathroom remained. We chose a grounding marble look tile for the floor (that was continued in the laundry and kitchen) and  paired this with super large format, textured white tiles that look and feel like sandstone. The blue tiles framing the bath were a beautiful finishing touch.

In keeping with the vintage of the house, we chose all brass fittings and tapware.

We splurged on a skylight for some much needed additional ventilation, and the natural light floods the space and really livens it up.

The standout feature for us is of course the blue tiles, and the stunning brass accents.
