Kitchen
It’s always a fine balance between great design aesthetic, and making a space really functional for families. We think we struck a fine balance on this one!
We opened up the space by removing some walls, and opted for a long kitchen services wall that ran the entire length of the space.
Given the age of the house, and the ample seating in the dining and living rooms we chose a drapers table as the bench – allowing for storage, stools if required and it helped to keep a bit of a vintage feel.
As with the bathroom, we wanted the brass to sing – so we peeled back the cabinetry to a clean, matte white, and chose soft green tiles, set vertically, to help elongate the room and aid in a sense of calm.
Plantation shutters added privacy and some luxe – and a few extra features (like a covered pop-up power point in the floor) made this room ready for easy family living.
